GeoEngineers is pleased to announce Scot McQueen has joined the company as its new Applied Technology Manager. McQueen will lead the overall Applied Technology business unit and work with this group to help clients achieve their business goals through the use of technology such as GIS, mobile and remote devices, web sites, LiDAR, geophysical tools and other devices.
McQueen joins GeoEngineers from ESRI. He has 14 years of leadership experience designing and developing GIS and IT applications for government agencies, large private firms and publicly funded research institutes around the world. An accomplished corporate strategist, McQueen has significant experience working with senior decision makers to find technology solutions for complex business, environmental and land-management challenges.
From his tenure at ESRI, McQueen developed a deep understanding of the information technologies central to his new role at GeoEngineers. “GeoEngineers represents a return to my roots. My past professional experience in the Natural Resource industry, coupled with the IT skills I have honed while working at ESRI, will tie in nicely with the company’s existing business and motto of ‘We find a better way,’” said McQueen. “I believe that technology is an integral part of finding that better way for our clients. I am absolutely thrilled to be here leading a talented group of GIS/IT professionals.”
