GeoEngineers is pleased to announce Anne MacDonald has joined the company as a Senior Geomorphologist. MacDonald will lead the Portland Office’s Natural Resources and Planning Group, providing a broad range of water resources services locally and strengthening connections between Portland-area clients and GeoEngineers staff across the country.
MacDonald joins GeoEngineers from ICF Jones & Stokes. She has more than 30 years of experience restoring terrestrial and aquatic freshwater ecosystems, mitigating natural resource impacts from infrastructure development, and developing strategies for managing and sequestering pollutants. MacDonald’s work combines expertise in soil, water, and vegetation processes and interactions with land use and natural history to understand how landscapes respond to development. She also brings broad experience in Superfund, Clean Water Act, NEPA, and Endangered Species Act-related solutions to GeoEngineers.
“I’m truly excited to join a firm of the technical caliber and depth of GeoEngineers,” said MacDonald. “Building on our 30-year-old roots in the Pacific Northwest, these qualities keep us focused on continuing to develop innovative, sustainable, and context-sensitive solutions for our Oregon clients. At the same time, our growing geographic reach is keeping us strong as a firm.”
Chris Breemer, Managing Associate of GeoEngineers’ Portland Office, views MacDonald’s addition as an important part of GeoEngineers’ goal of providing unparalleled client service. “We’re looking forward to having Anne’s experience, enthusiasm and creativity applied across the breadth of our Oregon projects.”
