Laboratory testing is an integral part of our business – all of our larger offices have soil testing capabilities. Special inspection and construction materials testing are a specialty of our Spokane office and are required for many types of construction, in accordance with International Building Code (IBC) and the Uniform Building Code (UBC).

These services include:

• Soils testing - index and compaction tests; complex testing such as strength, consolidation and permeability tests
• Materials testing – concrete curing and compressive strength, aggregate, soils and masonry, fireproofing, ASTM and AASHTO test methods
• Reinforced concrete – reinforcing steel inspection, slab moisture vapor emission, post-tensioning inspection
• Earthwork monitoring – in-place density testing, asphalt concrete placement monitoring, fill control
• Structural steel – welding inspection, high-strength bolting inspection, direct tension calibration, metal decking, light gauge steel framing
