In geophysical investigations, the seismic, electric, magnetic, radiometric, and gravitational properties of earth materials are measured in order to detect the presence of oil, gas, coal, or other minerals. It is also used to produce geotechnical data for roads, buildings, dams, and tunnels, and to search for geothermal areas, water resources, and pollution - underground or underwater. Extensive worldwide experience and state-of-the-art equipment enable GeoEngineers to provide high quality, cost-effective geophysical services that meet our clients’ project needs. As part of our integrated earth science services, GeoEngineers provides:
- Bubble-pulser seismic surveys - our ability to quickly combine offshore geophysical data with GPS coordinate control ensures reliable positioning and high results confidence
- Dredging and offshore services – drilling/sampling, bathymetry, seabed coring, geohazard surveys, planning and permitting
- Ground penetrating radar (GPR) – our portable, battery powered system allows a 2-man crew to obtain accurate data in rugged, remote terrain, from tropical to arctic conditions
- Ground-based electromagnetic surveys (EM) – we own and operate a variety of instruments that quickly and efficiently gather data regardless of weather or terrain
- Remotely operated vehicle (ROV) – oceanographic, port and harbor surveys, dock assessments, diver support, and vessel hull inspections
- Sidescan sonar surveys – we use fully digital, chirp-based systems operating in the 200kHz band and in-house software to obtain high-resolution deep seafloor images
