As the team responsible for all aspects of geotechnical characterization, analysis and design, we have a broad array of expertise with various infrastructure components. We often act as the Geotechnical Design Manager on design-build projects, and work closely with design teams on site.
GeoEngineers has a long history of working with state departments of transportation (DOTs), and provides on-call services to DOTs in Louisiana, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Missouri. Our breadth of company expertise and strong familiarity with geotechnical and environmental DOT policies, AASHTO specifications and FHWA guidelines for state transportation projects means industry-leading work, which has received both state and federal recognition. GeoEngineers staff have decades of experience testing driven pile foundations using the pile driving analyzer (PDA, a non-destructive method or NDT). We have PDA and Crosshole Sonic Logging (CSL) equipment in-house to meet large transportation project needs. GeoEngineers also has experience in providing specialized geotechnical field testing such as inclinometer slope monitoring, settlement monitoring, and soil pore pressure monitoring.
GeoEngineers has been involved in several large design-build procurements, including the Port Mann Bridge and South Fraser Perimeter Road projects in Vancouver, the I-15 Core project in Utah and the SR-520 Floating Bridge in Seattle. We have mastered the art of successful integration into a contractor’s team while managing the owner’s expectations. We are experienced in assisting design-build teams to prepare competitive costs, approaches and proposal submittals.
