Webb is a project engineer who specializes in design and construction of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) pipeline crossings. Compared to traditional construction methods, HDD is a less-disruptive method for installing new pipelines below existing infrastructure and sensitive areas such as highways, railways and rivers. Webb says that his HDD work fulfills his desire to travel and to see many different engineering projects around the world.
When asked what else gives him job satisfaction, Webb replies, “I enjoy assisting clients with complicated projects and trying to always ‘find a better way’ to complete projects. I appreciate that we have experts with well-rounded knowledge of numerous facets of the projects that we are involved in.”
HDD projects require the GeoEngineers’ HDD team to spend many weeks at a time on the job site. “As far as pipeline work goes, you had better be personally interested in your work, or you are in the wrong field!” Webb noted.
Webb is a University of Arkansas alum and big Razorbacks football fan. When he’s not on the road for work, he likes to spend time outdoors and likes watching football, baseball and horse racing.
