An innovative directional microtunnel project for Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company won the Grand Conceptor Award for the best overall project in the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Missouri’s 2014 Engineering Excellence Competition. The I-84 Pipeline Crossing Project included several innovative firsts in the cutting-edge field of trenchless engineering, including a unique combination of the thrusting technology of Direct Pipe with the short interlocking segments of Permalok pipe.
