Senior Geologist Garrett Leque, LG of our Tacoma office received Downtown On the Go’s 2014 Advocacy Award. The annual award recognizes a business or individual who made a difference for downtown Tacoma through transportation advocacy at the local, state or federal level.
“Garrett has been a key organizer for our Bike Committee. He has taken his passion for bicycling to the next level by organizing others to join him in speaking up for bicycling as a transportation option at City Council,” said Downtown On the Go Manager Kristina Walker. “His on-going efforts to inform local officials about the growing demand for bicycle awareness and the need for more bicycle infrastructure will have a long-term, positive effect on our community.”
Downtown On the Go Executive Board Member Jonah Jensen presented Leque with the award at their annual luncheon earlier this month.
