GeoEngineers, Inc. is proud to welcome Emily Dahl, attorney at law, as the firm’s first associate general counsel. Ms. Dahl is an experienced commercial litigator who spent much of her career representing engineering design professionals. As in-house counsel, Ms. Dahl will be responsible for reviewing and supervising contracts, supporting risk management and insurance programs, managing potential claims, and providing strategic legal advice to leadership.
“GeoEngineers is continuing to grow as a national firm, and adding dedicated in-house counsel is an important step for us,” said CEO Mike Hutchinson. “With Emily onboard, our leadership team has strategic guidance from a legal perspective like never before.”
Ms. Dahl represented homeowner and condo associations early in her well-rounded career, before moving on to focus on insurance defense, trademark infringement, employment, and general commercial litigation. Her deep experience as a commercial litigator led Ms. Dahl to focus on representing design professionals, guiding her clients through complex multi-party lawsuits, and providing legal advice for the countless issues that come up in the normal course of business. Eventually, Ms. Dahl’s work as outside counsel introduced her to GeoEngineers.
“It is inspiring to work with people who are excited about where they work and what they do,” she says. “Transitioning from outside counsel to work in-house for GeoEngineers was a natural progression in my professional life.”
