Recent Pipeline Webinar

On November 18, GeoEngineers hosted the latest installment of its Pipeline Webinar Series, marking the 13th episode in a program that has connected pipeline professionals across the country for more than four years. The free webinar series brings together GeoEngineers’ pipeline specialists and industry partners to share practical insights on complex pipeline design and construction challenges, with a particular focus on trenchless technologies.

This session, “As the Drill Pipe Turns, Part II,” was a follow-up to a well-received webinar first presented in 2021. Hosted by GeoEngineers’ April Smith and Mark Miller, the event attracted more than 125 attendees from across the industry.

The webinar focused on key considerations during the early stages of pipeline projects that include one or more horizontal directional drills (HDDs). Topics included design geometry, desktop feasibility assessments, site reconnaissance, geotechnical investigation, tooling selection, workspace planning, construction risk, and construction observation. The discussion emphasized how early, informed decision-making can help reduce risk and improve constructability on complex HDD projects.

GeoEngineers’ Pipeline Webinar Series continues to serve as a platform for sharing technical knowledge, strengthening industry collaboration, and demonstrating the firm’s depth of experience in trenchless pipeline design and geotechnical engineering. Stay tuned for the next one!
