As a software engineer on our technology team, Brandon supports the firm’s existing systems and develops new features and applications to make his colleagues’ jobs more efficient. We rely on countless network systems and digital assets to do our work each day, and Brandon keeps it all running smoothly—while looking for opportunities for improvement.

“I’ve always been a problem solver,” Brandon says. “A large portion of this drive has been directed toward computers ever since my family got our first PC, back in the ‘free America Online disc’ era.”

After graduating with a computer engineering degree from Montana State University, Brandon spent seven years designing and building tax software for clients like Alaska’s Department of Revenue and the Finnish Tax Administration. He has led software implementation projects for a variety of companies, including market research survey solutions for consulting giants like Bain & Company, BCG, and McKinsey & Company.

In 2024, Brandon joined GeoEngineers looking for the chance to focus on interesting projects while contributing toward the growth of our communities. After more than a decade of living and working in Finland, Brandon was also ready to return to the United States. GeoEngineers, and our people, were a great fit.

“Having worked a wide variety of jobs, it’s always the people you work with that make the difference,” Brandon says, “and I’ve enjoyed meeting and working with GeoEngineers’ people.”

Brandon stays busy outside the office with a long list of eclectic interests. He plays bass in a cover band and an original doom metal group, paints animals and landscapes, races go-karts, and recently took up sewing and leatherworking. You might also find Brandon staying active with weightlifting, mountain biking, or spikeball.

“I enjoy exploring and finding new hobbies,” Brandon says, “maybe pottery or glassblowing is up next!”
