Chad works to keep us safe, in the office, in the field, and at home. He oversees the implementation of comprehensive safety measures across all projects, ensuring that we meet required safety standards and that every member of the team has the necessary training and resources to carry out their duties safely and efficiently. Chad develops policies and procedures to help us reduce potential risks.

With a diverse array of professional certifications including Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), and Certified Professional in Stormwater Quality (CPSWQ), Chad brings a wealth of expertise to his role. He has strong experience with industrial hygiene, occupational safety, and leading multi-state health and safety programs. Earlier in his career, Chad worked as an environmental consultant and senior project manager at a large national engineering consulting firm before he made a career transition to specialize in health and safety.

“I was attracted to internal health and safety after spending the first part of my career being reactive and helping clients respond to incidents after the fact,” Chad explains. “It made me want to work from within companies and take a proactive approach to managing risk and stopping incidents from happening.”

Chad got to know the industrial side of the consultant/client relationship by working as an environmental, health, and safety (EHS) manager for several industrial companies, including a heavy steel fabricator. In 2023, Chad joined GeoEngineers in an effort to get back to his consulting roots.

“I was drawn to the idea of managing health and safety for a respected consulting firm like GeoEngineers and being able to once again work in the consulting field,” Chad says.

In his free time, Chad likes to stay active and get outside by camping, hiking, kayaking, and paddle boarding, often with his family. You might find him hanging out with friends at a local coffee shop or pub, and at home, Chad enjoys tinkering with his own recipes for cold-brewed coffee and hard cider!
