Christophe M. Henry
- Boston, MA*
Christophe M. Henry is one of our most experienced environmental engineers, and he focuses primarily on development work in the Boston market and on oil and gas clients across the country. Over nearly four decades in the industry, Christophe has seen just about every facet of environmental consulting, regulatory and safety compliance, engineering, construction support/management and remediation. Christophe has worked all over—across the United States and internationally in Germany, North Africa and the Caribbean. At last count, Christophe holds professional engineering licenses in 13 states and two U.S. territories, as well as a Hazardous Waste Site Cleanup Professional License in Massachusetts.
“I like the unique challenges that comes with each new project and site,” Christophe says. “It’s so satisfying to work with a team of talented people to solve an interesting problem, to improve our communities and to protect the environment and the health for us and future.”
Christophe has particular expertise in assessing, cleaning up and/or obtaining regulatory closure for oil and hazardous waste sites, both historical contamination and incident response. He designs remediation strategies to recover or mitigate contaminants in soil and groundwater. Christophe works closely with staff, subcontractors and clients to perform risk audits, and works with them on regulatory compliance, safety behavior and portfolio management.
Christophe has always liked building or fixing things, whether it is a pipeline release or projects around the house. Outside the office, chances are good that you’ll find Christophe playing outside in one form of water or another or travelling to meet new people and learn new cultures. He enjoys sailing, kite surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, scuba diving, fishing and snorkeling when it’s warm enough—and hiking, skiing and snowshoeing when it’s not.
