As an IT Support Services Technician, Claudio is responsible for keeping our computers and electronic resources working smoothly. Whether we’re battling computer glitches, in need of new equipment, or just need help navigating software, Claudio is ready to come to our rescue.
Claudio grew up in Chile and came to the U.S. in 2009 looking for new opportunities. In 2015, Claudio enrolled in Brigham Young University and started working on his bachelor’s in IT. He balanced his studies with practical experience by doing computer support for campus staff while completing the degree. After graduation, Claudio decided to move to the Seattle area with his girlfriend, who had been offered a job at Microsoft.
Claudio knew he wanted to do IT support, but he was looking for a company with a meaningful mission. It was a GeoEngineers LinkedIn post that first caught his attention, and after reading about our work on the website Claudio decided to apply.
“I really like nature, so when I saw that GeoEngineers was doing all these environmental projects, I thought it was awesome,” Claudio says.
In his spare time, Claudio is usually hanging out with his girlfriend and her golden doodle or developing his reading habit. In Utah, Claudio was a bit of a gym rat, but since moving to the Pacific Northwest he’s taken up running.
