Dre plays a key role in promoting our services and capabilities to potential clients as a marketing coordinator in GeoEngineers’ growing San Diego office. He is responsible for identifying opportunities, relaying them to the technical team, and creating a variety of marketing materials—ranging from cutsheets and brochures to SOQs. Dre also represents GeoEngineers at industry events, building relationships and advocating for our work.

“I’m the communications mastermind behind the show,” he says, “and I’m super humble about it.”

Dre’s creativity and social skills are crucial to his role. Not only does he spend much of his time communicating with clients, but he also designs promotional materials and seeks creative solutions to marketing challenges. He values collaboration, knowing it’s key to producing high-quality work.

“It’s the only way things can be completed to the highest standards possible,” he explains.

His passion for storytelling and connection drew Dre to marketing. “I’ve always been a very passionate and creative person, especially when it comes to film and music,” he shares. Combining his love for talking to people, designing creative assets, and crafting compelling narratives, Dre found that marketing was the perfect fit for his talents.

Before joining GeoEngineers, Dre built a career in the entertainment industry, working for record labels and assisting management teams for iconic artists like Erykah Badu, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and The Fugees. He also organized large music festivals during his time at Stanford University.

Looking ahead, Dre’s goal is to help the San Diego office thrive. “I want to help launch the San Diego office to success,” he says. “It’s still a very new office, so there’s a lot to be done. But with that, there’s also a ton of opportunity.”

Outside of work, Dre stays creative by listening to music (his playlists sometimes contain over 1,000 songs), watching TV and movies, and DJing. He also enjoys writing TV pilots, playing video games, and reading when the mood strikes.
