Heidi is a key leader on our national Construction Design Group out of Boston. As an experienced geotechnical engineer and manager, Heidi leads projects and provides technical analysis using a range of approaches, including performance-based engineering.

“Our group works on a lot of projects that require advanced analyses to solve complicated soft ground and seismic issues,” Heidi says. “We are starting to do things that have never been done before—and have the technical capabilities to justify our solutions.”

As a member of GeoEngineers Construction Design Group, Heidi often works on large development or infrastructure projects like high-rises, roadways, bridges, and tunnels. Heidi provides geotechnical recommendations, designs foundations and ground improvement systems, and performs seismic analyses to predict how soil and structures will behave during specific types of earthquakes.

Heidi enjoys the thrill of working on large, complicated projects that require significant coordination, and says there’s nothing better than pursuing technical excellence with committed colleagues.

“I have the ability to work on a wide variety of different projects in the office and out in the field that require different solutions, so the work is far from monotonous,” Heidi says. “Everyone at GeoEngineers is very passionate about what they do, and about making a difference in their communities. This attitude makes us excel in our work.”

A native of the Dominican Republic, Heidi loves dancing. When she’s not at work, you can often find her taking a Zumba class to stay in shape. She also enjoys hanging out with her family and friends whether its rock climbing, hiking or exploring all that New England has to offer.
