Jenna is a Staff Environmental Scientist based in GeoEngineers’ Boston office, where she primarily conducts field work. She collects environmental samples, including soil and groundwater, and prepares detailed field reports that support the firm’s projects and clients.
Jenna’s interest in environmental science began in college, when a course introduced her to the complex relationship between people and the environment. She recalls that experience as the moment she realized she had found her calling: “I have always been passionate about helping others and learning about the environment in order to protect it.” Her academic background, combined with an internship at an NGO monitoring water quality along a major river, gave her hands-on experience in the field and confirmed her desire to continue in a career focused on environmental stewardship.
While her knowledge of environmental science is fundamental to her work, Jenna emphasizes that her attention to detail, communication skills, and eagerness to learn are equally critical to her success. These qualities allow her to support clients effectively and contribute meaningfully to interdisciplinary teams. At GeoEngineers, Jenna is motivated by the opportunity to make a positive impact on both the environment and the communities that rely on it, aiming to improve the health of natural resources and the people who depend on them.
Outside of work, Jenna enjoys hiking and reading, often finding balance and inspiration in nature and literature. She jokes that it’s unfortunate she cannot “do both at the same time,” but she cherishes the quiet reflection of a book and the rewarding views at the top of a mountain.
