As CFO, Jon plays a critical role in guiding both day-to-day operations and the long-term strategic direction of the firm. After more than three decades of financial management experience, Jon came to GeoEngineers looking for new challenges.
Jon started out in San Diego as an independent business consultant, but soon began working his way through the design industry, mastering the nuances of financial management and planning at a variety of respected firms over the years.
“One of the most important things I’ve learned over the years is a concept I saw right away in GeoEngineers’ core values—grit,” Jon says. “Learning to overcome obstacles with grit and tenacity can help us get through anything. There are lots of twists and turns in life and in business and grit goes a long way in being successful.”
Along with that grit, Jon picked up some useful skills. In his financial leadership roles, Jon has focused his energy on environmental remediation, consulting engineering, federal, state and local government contracting, regulatory outsourcing, design-build construction, program management, construction management, materials testing, inspection services and technology.
In addition to his role in the firm’s finances, strategic planning, contracts, and mergers and acquisitions, Jon also focuses on people. He believes that our financial investments and systems should not be separate from the people that drive GeoEngineers forward.
