Laura is the Administrative Coordinator for GeoEngineers’ Boise office, where she keeps operations running smoothly and provides essential support to her colleagues. She describes herself as “the office glue that holds us all together,” managing everything from ordering and word processing to event planning and keeping the team informed on project updates. Her reliability and organizational skills ensure that the office runs efficiently.
Before joining GeoEngineers, Laura spent over 15 years as a veterinary technician, specializing in small animal care. She handled everything from anesthesia and surgery to scheduling and billing, developing strong multitasking and problem-solving skills that she now brings to her role at Geo. Her professional “superpower” is anticipating the needs of others to make their days easier and more productive.
Laura was drawn to GeoEngineers for its people-centered culture and commitment to making a difference. “Being an employee with Geo means that we’re not just another number and that our opinions, thoughts, and ideas truly matter,” she says. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge of earth science consulting, enhancing her administrative skills, and building connections across the firm.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband Jayce, their four-year-old son Miles, and their pets, Murphy, Ned, and Nia. She also enjoys crocheting, jewelry making, painting, camping, concerts, and the occasional karaoke session.
