Sr. Environmental Scientist
- Seattle, WA
Nancy uses her specialized expertise in the investigation and cleanup of bays, rivers, streams and beaches to support GeoEngineers’ work on challenging, large-scale cleanup projects in the Puget Sound region. “Working on projects close to home is particularly satisfying because the improvements in environmental quality directly benefit my family, friends and community,” Nancy says.
Nancy joined GeoEngineers after more than 30 years of service to government, business and industry. Working with both regulators and the regulated community, Nancy has gained extensive expertise in assessing risks to aquatic communities, performing water and sediment quality investigations and designing environmental monitoring programs and laboratory and field studies. Her long-term involvement in numerous regional and national environmental investigation and sediment cleanup projects has given her in-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework and technical protocols governing environmental management decisions throughout the United States and Canada.
When not at work, you’ll seldom find Nancy at home. She spends her time dancing, biking, hiking and traveling. A passionate cook, she often uses her friends as guinea pigs to test out her latest recipes.
