Based in Seattle, Rachel is one of GeoEngineers’ recruiters, where she helps identify and bring in new talent to support the company’s growing teams. Her role involves expanding Geo’s staff body, ensuring that new hires align with the company’s needs and culture.
Rachel believes her greatest strength lies in her ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively. “The most valuable skills for my career are my communication and relationship building skills,” she says. These skills allow her to create a smooth and positive hiring experience for both candidates and the teams she works with.
Before joining GeoEngineers, Rachel built a career in hospitality management and recruitment. She started in hotel management and transitioned to recruiting at Slalom Consulting, where she focused on their Global Salesforce practice. She then moved on to MN Custom Homes, where she recruited for a wide range of roles, from construction to data science.
Rachel was drawn to recruitment because of her love for talking to people, and she had her “ah-ha moment” when she helped her first hire land a new position. “I knew I was in the right profession,” she says.
Looking ahead, Rachel aims to be a valuable partner to the teams at GeoEngineers, recruiting high-quality candidates to help drive the company’s success. Outside of work, she’s an avid skier with a personal goal to ski on every continent except Antarctica. She recently skied in Japan and is planning a ski trip to France next year. Rachel also enjoys painting, traveling, and spending time with her dog, Jane.
