As a staff environmental scientist, Virginia spends a lot of her time assessing sites for environmental hazards—everything from contaminated soil or groundwater to buried underground storage tanks. Put most simply, Virginia protects our clients from environmental risks.

Virginia has always been passionate about the environment, and in college she realized this passion could become a career. First, she had to finish school. Virginia studied chemistry at Salve Regina University and went on to earn a master’s in environmental studies from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.  After graduating in 2021, Virginia found her way to GeoEngineers.

“I wanted to find a job in a field that could make positive change in the world,” Virginia says. “I love learning something new every day and feeling like no two days are spent doing the exact same thing.”

When Virginia’s not working to protect the environment professionally—she might be doing it in her spare time! In addition to doing her part for the environment, Virginia enjoys discovering new breweries with her boyfriend, playing tennis and reading.

We want you on our team.
